Spring is here and that means summer is not that far. And for lovers of the music festival, summer means festival time. Come June and July hundreds of thousands of people will travel throughout the UK to enjoy a few days of great music, relaxation and letting go of the rules governing the outside world.
Festivals are a place of fun and make friends through shared concerts. There is also always a fascination with stains maybe next much in a stage prior to break into the limelight. More than a famous band have paid their share of playing festivals across the country before doing something big. But not all festivals are created equal. This summer there will be more parties than ever, with many big names fell by the United Kingdom. So what are this year options above?
Glastonbury
Glastonbury became the seat of thousands of music lovers each year and this year is no exception. Tickets are already sold out this year, so it is bad luck, if you do not get one. The event will take place in late June (24-28a). This year, there linep with notable artists such as Blur, Franz Ferdinand, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Jones, Led Zeppelin, Keane and many more. It's no surprise this card sold out so fast, because this is getting to be perhaps the greatest lineup ever in the Glastonbury Festival;
Glade Festival
Music Festival Glade is a leader in the UK, dance music event, and this year the organizers have found a new home in Winchester. The event runs from 16 July-19 July, and is known as the premier electronic music festival in Europe.
The V Festival
The V will be held in two days in August 22nd to 23rd, with tickets available from March. There are two venues for this festival, one at Weston Park, Staffordshire and one in Hylands Park, Chelmsford. The last line-up is not ready yet, but the last years line-up bodes well, with Amy Winehouse and Kings Of Leon leaving its mark.
T in the Park
Balado, Scotland is hosting the T in the Park Festival from 10 to 12 July. Running in its 16th year, this festival has already confirmed that many of the top acts such as Blur, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Pete Doherty, Elbow, Razorlight.
Isle of Wight Festival
A short ferry ride from the coast and located on the Isle of Wight, which provides hosted a music festival named after the island itself. A legendary music festival this year include: The Prodigy, Ting Tings and Basement Jaxx. The festival runs from June 12 to june 14.
There is no shortage of music festivals this summer to visit in the UK. The only problem is having to prioritize their time as some of these festivals are celebrated on the same dates. Glastonbury Festival 2009
Glastonbury attracts thousands of music fans every year. Tickets for Glastonbury 2009 have been sold due to high demand. The event takes place from Wednesday 24 until Sunday 28th June 2009. Glade Festival 2009
The Glade Festival is the leading dance music festival in Britain, and the organizers have secured a new festival site in Winchester for the case. The event takes place from July takes 16 to 19. Known as a major electronic music festival in Europe, about 10,000 people flock to the event. The 2009 line-up is not yet known, but in contact remain at the Glade Festival home page.
The V-Festival 2009
The V-music festival takes place in August 22 and 23 Cards in 2009 and on the sale March 2009. The festival takes place at two sites, Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire. Isle of Wight Festival 2009
The legendary music festival held in Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight, a short ferry ride from the English coast. This festival will take place from Friday 12 until Sunday 14th June 2009. Some of the acts confirmed to perform at this Year are due on Friday headliners The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx and plus the Ting Tings. The renowned "Big Top" is expected that a tax return this year, and the headliner on Sunday night are in the capacity as Big Top Circus 5000 Manchester indie veterans The Charlatans. Wychwood Music Festival 2009
This family-friendly festival is now in its fifth year and runs from Friday 29 May 31 to Sunday May in Cheltenham Racecourse. It offers a fusion of world and roots music, and provides funds for the charity Oxfam. Friday night is the Super Furry Animals and Saturday headlined by Supergrass. Reading Festival 2009
If you are in rock, Punk or indie music, in 2009 Reading Festival is a must. The festival takes place in the August Bank Holiday weekend from Friday 28th August to Sunday 30 August at John's Little House, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire in the region. Creamfields 2009
Now in its 12th Year, the Creamfields Festival 2009 will take place from Saturday 29 to Sunday 20 August 2009, at Daresbury Estate, Halton in Cheshire. This is a huge event for the serious clubber with live music from top electronic music acts from around the world. The Film Festival 2009 lineup is not yet known given, but tickets are on sale at the Creamfields site.
Large Chill Festival 2009
The Big Chill Festival takes place from Friday 7 to Sunday 9. August at Eastnor Castle, in Ledbury, Herefordshire is. The event takes place in the fairytale Eastnor Castle, which has four lakes, forests and a beautiful garden.
